In honor of it being her Birth Day Week ~ Sofia is the female version of Bob The Builder, so I wrote a poem about it, goes like this:
Betty The Builder ~ a short poem by me.
She’s relentless, she never stops
Making things in her little “She Shop”
During the “Stay At Home” ~ She’s done many things
If I don’t stop her, she’ll redo everything.
My cat and I watch her everyday
We give advice; she doesn’t listen to what we say
She’s made cupboards, tables, stools and more
I had to talk her out of redoing the front door.
Today, we planted and redid our front yard bricks
It was so hot; I thought I’d get sick
The next thing, is redoing the back patio
How she’ll do this, I simply don’t know.
She sees things that simply aren’t there
It’s hard to take her anywhere
We go for a walk she sees someone’s trash
She wants it, so back to the car we dash.
A wall from a door, a box from a shoe
Oh my, what else will she want to do?
Since it’s her birthday, I’m making her take a break
So on June 11th, you’ll find us both at the lake.
