How My Website Was Born

I’m not a computer person, although due to my profession, I’m a Facebooker, Twitterer, and Reverbnation kind of kid. So, when a student and her mother offered to build me a website, I leapt at the offer.

I knew that I needed a professional website, but creating one for me, is like asking a blind man to describe an elephant.

Dana and Maggie Mitchell of Morning Owls Website Design, asked me if they could have a go at it, all they needed was some information, I sent it, they created it and I love it!

Since you’re reading this, you can have a click around and let me know what you think. If you want one like mine, all you have to do is reach out to them.

Here’s the amazing thing: it’s inspired me to write. Something, I’ve always loved, but never taken up as a practice, a routine. Now, instead of just writing songs and whatnot, I find myself writing with a purpose. Usually, I write, save, forget and move on, but now, well here you find me. Sitting at my desk, thinking about life, pondering the possible.

So, I wonder, why am I so lucky to have people in my life that reach out and give me this vehicle to ride to new destinations? How did they know what I needed, how to do it and what made them brave enough to offer?

I like to believe that it’s Karma, my mother once said that a simple act of kindness is like tossing a pebble into the ocean, the effects will ripple out, perhaps not to you, but ripple they will.

So, my ripple from them is now rippling to you. If you want to kick off the New Year with a new user friendly website, it’s here. Morning Owls is a family business, mother and daughter side by side, helping us reach our potential by reaching the masses.

I used to think that a strong person was one that didn’t ask for help, I’ve realized that the opposite is true. A wise person knows to ask, surrounds themselves with people who make them look good. A wise person doesn’t know everything, but does know where to go to get the information.

Let them know what you need, be it for music, art, business, trust me, you’ll be overly satisfied and excited about their vision. #girlwithguitar

Dear Katrina, thank you so much for your kind words and your enthusiastic support. Maggie and I are thrilled that you enjoy your website as much as you do. We believe in Karma and I often think of what you wrote in the blog post, The Purpose, https://musings.katrinacurtissmusic.com/2019/12/the-purpose/ about standing with out-turned and empty pockets knowing that we used all of our gifts. You have a beautiful way with words and your wisdom and insight and friendship are food for the soul. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a splendid New Year!
