Basura cat wants to teach me to draw
She holds onto the pencil with her right paw
She uses all the colors that she can find
To make her drawings, much better than mine.
One day, she hid my pencils in her litter box
She said, “Go find them now, while I watch”
Oh, she made me so very mad
She’s an artsy cat that can be very bad.
Then she drew a picture of me
To be honest, it looked more like a tree
Then I said, I’ll draw a picture of you, my cat
When I was done, she said it made her look fat.
Now she’s an artist and wants a beret for her head
And to lounge in her pajamas all day in her bed
She says that drawing puts her in a good mood
And one day her art will hang in the Louvre.
