The Adventures Of Basura Continue…
Now that it’s time to go back to school
Basura Cat said, “I’m not a fool”
If I don’t ride the bus, you can’t make a fuss
To go back into the building is such a must!”
I said, “No, you going to learn on line”
You’ll learn a whole lot and expand your mind”
But Basura cat, she didn’t care
She fell asleep on my guitar-teaching chair.
Oh how to make her understand and obey
That she needs to log onto her computer, everyday
She turns up her nose, and refuses to sit
For an hour, a minute, even a tiny little bit.
I’ll help with your homework, and make sure you eat
While learning on line, it will be really neat
But she misses her friends, the hugs and hellos
She misses the lunch lady, why, only goodness knows.
It’s such a struggle to get her to learn
So one day, lots of money she’ll earn
Then when I am old, tired and gray
She will take care of me, everyday.
“Ha Ha!” she cried, when I told her this
“So I need to pay you back for each little kiss?”
And now she won’t go back to school, woe is me
I’ll always be stuck with an unemployed kitty.
