A package just came in the mail,
And Basura Cat started waving her tail.
She used her claws to open the box,
What was inside, knocked off my socks.
It was a political yard sign for the Democrats,
Looks like I have a left leaning political cat.
Basura got a hammer and went out to the yard,
She pounded in her sign, swinging really hard.
What if the neighbors don’t agree?
She said, “Send them over to talk to me!”
“In our lives, this is the most critical election,
We must all be wise and make the right selection!”
“The other guy didn’t pay taxes, lies and cheats,
Yet his followers bow down and kiss his feet.”
“He spins, he twist, he tweets and berates,
Oh how I would love to moderate the debates!”
So here we are with a yard sign blowing in the wind,
Praying he doesn’t get elected again.
Basura says if he does, she knows just want to do,
She’s packing her things and moving to Katmandu!
