The Boogeyman ~ by Katrina Curtiss 10/19/2020

He doesn’t lurk, he stands upon his soapbox.
He takes treats and turns them into tricks.
He tweets and turns beauty into brutality.
His words, echo from a heart of stone.

He blows his harp, charming the uneducated.
He rallies with lies and deceit.
The lost have fallen into his shadows.
Following him blindly from street to street.

In 4 years, he’s ripped open wounds.
Blood runs through our streets.
Those closest to him, in silent surrender.
Falling out of grace with the Boogeyman.

A light in the far off distance shines,
As darkness still remains.
Look up, look ahead is our silent cheer.
As we pledge no to 4 more years.

Today’s Musings: “Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” ~ Ruth Bader Ginsberg 1933-2020. #girlwithguitar #VoteBlue #VoteHimOut
