Basura Cat and the dog next door,
Are fighting, trying to even the score.
The dog barks all hours of the night,
My cat complains, “It’s just not right!”
Just when we all settle down to bed,
Sounds of the barking dog fill our heads.
He barks at the leaves, he barks at the trees,
He barks and barks, whenever he pleases.
Basura is so tired, Sofia is too,
But what, oh what, can we do?
Our neighbors are cool; the dog is a pup,
Hopefully, soon he’ll learn to shut-up.
So Basura is now armed with a water gun,
When the dog barks, she squirts and he runs.
It’s just how things are going today,
I wonder what that dog is trying to say.
