Let there be no mistake
Not all Heroes wear capes
There are those on the front line
Keeping us safe, in overtime
The doctors, nurses, stockers, clerks
To name a few, while we sleep, they all work
We don’t know their names, they don’t know ours
but they stand vigilant for hours and hours
They pick up our trash, they stock our shelves
While we stay at home, taking care of ourselves
They teach and they feed, they’re an amazing breed
They report and they risk to keep us aware
Despite the virus, which can be anywhere
Salute to those of you out on the street
When the dust settles, I hope that we meet
To thank you for all that you do
