It’s been days since I’ve gone anyplace
Since then, no make-up has touched my face
Today, I teach guitar lessons on line
Oh where did I put that make-up of mine?
I’ve looked in my cupboard
I’ve looked in my shoe
Without it, I don’t know what to do
My eyebrows are thinning, my lashes not long
One stray face hair popped up, not where it belongs
My tweezers, my liner, my lasher, my blush
Find them, find them, find them I must!
I’ll have to do my lesson in the dark,
Pull the blinds; cover the windows before I start
I know that it’s vanity, only my pride
Because real beauty is something that comes from inside.
