The Cat Who Wanted To Drive My Car (Basura Behind The Wheel) ~ a short poem by me 4/9/2020

My Cat couldn’t learn to play the guitar
Now she wants to learn to drive my car
Our first attempt didn’t get us very far
We hardly moved from here to thare

I tried; I tried to teach her how
When I said, turn left, she only meowed
Turn right at the light, slow down when you turn!
As she knocked over trash cans, 4 flowers and a fern

Stop behind that school bus, it’s the law!
My cat didn’t care, she flipped me her paw
We jumped a curb, we bumped a fence
She was so calm, I was so very tense!

Behind us a police siren, did wail
My cat didn’t care, she flipped him her tail
Back Home, back home!~  I cried and I cried
How could I explain a Driving Cat by my side?

We made it back home in the nick of time
Before we got busted, committed a crime
Day after day, now that we’re confined
What will be next with that cat of mine?

Basura driving and me playing the guitar. What do they have in common? Both are a crime.
