Week Number 2 of Stay At Home ~ A short poem by me 4/5/2020

You go outside, you come back in
All over the house, you tromp again and again
Your dirty dishes next to the sink
It’s only 10am and I want a drink

I make the bed, you climb back in
Nap number 2 before 11am
You ask my opinion, I give it to you
Then you do only what you want to do

See the dust on the floor, dirty handprints on the door
I’d like some help, maybe a little more
The rugs need shook, while you read your book
Please wash the dishes after you cook

The first week wasn’t bad, but now it’s gotten worse
I’m not your mother, your maid or nurse
I thought this would be fun when it first started
But that changed, while you burped, belched and farted

Netflix rages on with no one in the room
Let me introduce you to something called a broom
Here’s a thing called a rag, an empty trash bag
Sure, tell your friends that I’m a nag

Stay at Home seems like a vacation to you
While I still do all the things that you won’t do
I know you can see me that you’re not blind
So get off your ass, before I lose my mind
