Basura Cat wants to go to the Rodeo,
How she heard about it, I don’t know.
She wants to see Cowboys, and Cowgirls galore,
She wants to see sheep, calf roping and more.
“Take me!” She cried, “I so want to go!”
“Oh, please take me to the Rodeo Show!”
We’ll hold our breath as we take in the scene,
“We don’t need that old Covid~19 vaccine!”
“I want to see the Swifty Swine Races, where pigs run all around,
I want to see cattle wrestled to the ground.”
“I want cotton candy and deep fried cheese,
Oh, take me to the San Antonio Rodeo, please!”
I put down my foot and told my cat no,
The Rodeo is not a place we will go.
There are too many people all in one place,
Many who don’t know how to mask up their face.
Basura Cat is so mad, that she spit out a bean,
That’s how mad, she is at Covid~19.
Maybe next year, we can all hope,
In the meantime, Basura is learning to rope.
