I’ve been teaching on Zoom ~ then as the number of COVID-19 cases started to drop, started teaching in person at my home studio.
I have a plexiglass divider between my students and me. We’re at least 6 feet apart. It’s okay, if once the student is seated, that they
take off their masks, some insist on wearing them.
It’s all good, we need music. Basura insists on sitting next to them, being close, I think we’re all a little lonely.
The Adventures Of Basura Continue…
Basura Cat had to ask, “Who are you behind that mask?
Students come and go, who they are I do not know.
Who they are, I use to know, not so very long ago
Oh, when, oh when will this Virus Go?”
“The number of cases in town has dropped
When will the wearing of masks start to stop?
Is it still here, has it gone away?
I like to see your student’s smiles as they play.”
“When they talk I can’t understand
Their voices are muffled, like in a tin can
I hope that soon this virus is gone
And the world will sing a happy song.”
“Until then, I will sit by their side
Letting them see my love I can’t hide
And hope for the day to come soon again
When I can see the faces of all of my friends.”
Today’s Musing: “I know you are behind that mask with the guitar” ~ Quote by Basura, owner of me #girlwithguitar
*Special thanks to my student Miss C ~ for allowing us to use this picture*
I can’t wait until the masks are no longer needed! I know who that masked person is. ?
