These Old Hands ~ by Katrina Curtiss  2.16.2022

These old hands have held a lot
Drank lots of beer, smoked some pot
These old hands have served me well
Braced the ground before I fell.

These old hands from child to grace
Touched the troubled, held in place
These old hands hold those I love
Angered hearts, fleeting dove.

These old hands, wrinkled and worn
Held the dying and the newborn
These old hands are only mine
Holding treasures until the end of time.
