My cat was sitting with pen in paw
I was so amazed, I dropped my jaw
I asked, “What are you up to, may I take a look?”
She answered, “I’m going to write a bestselling book!”

“What will you call it? Such an undertaking task!”
She seemed bothered that I even had to ask
It’s called, “My Owner and Me ~ how we survived Covid-19
I shouldn’t have to explain it, if you know what I mean”

So, she’s have been writing this entire time?
Oh, how amazing is this cat of mine!
“Well, you’ve been writing so why shouldn’t I try
It’ll be a best seller, off the shelves it will fly”

“It will be about you, me and how we survived
I’ll tell all your secrets, how I’ve kept you alive
I wake you each morning, with something to do
I’ve entertained you by trying to learn something new”

So intent on each word, as she tried to write
But she couldn’t hold onto the pen, such a fight!
It rolled on the floor, and then rolled out of the door,
Now poor Basura, can’t write anymore
