My Cat Plays “Where’s Waldo” ~ a short poem by Katrina Curtiss 5/27/2020

Oh, that silly cat of mine
Sometimes she is so hard to find
Off my lap, there she goes
Where she’s off to no one knows

I open a can of food for her
Listening for the sound of her purr
I call her name, she does not come
Sometimes this is worrisome.

All around the house I go
Looking high and looking low
Under beds, on top of chairs
She could be almost anywhere!

When, what in the window box do I see?
Basura cat smiling up at me
She’s been napping with flowers all this time
And that’s why she was so hard to find
