My Cat And Her Disinfecting Wipes ~ a short poem by Katrina Curtiss 6/16/2020

Basura cat swiped the Disinfecting Wipes
She held them in her paws so tight
When I asked for one, she didn’t care
She waved me away, with her paw up in the air

My cat has never been this way
Until COVID-19 came to stay
Now she licks her paws and cleans her tongue
Using all my wipes, each and everyone

I begged her to share some with me
She told me to go and climb a tree
I bought them for us, but now it’s just her
“Go buy me some more,” is her constant purr

The kid next door came to borrow one
Basura said, “Go and get my squirt gun!”
She aimed and he ran back to his home
My cat said, “Now he will leave me alone.”

So, I have a cat that just doesn’t care
No Disinfecting Wipes will she share
I will wait until she takes a long nap
To try and get some of my wipes back

Today’s Musing: “Cats have always been clean, seems like it’s a new thing for you humans ” ~ Quote by Basura Cat, owner of me #girlwithguitar
