Basura cat said, “Come here I’ve got something for you”
As she approached me with a bottle of hair shampoo
“I want you to look pretty inside and out
So, “Hey Good Looking!!” The neighbors will shout.”
She had a shampoo that would take care of the flakes
She said, “This isn’t the North Pole for goodness sakes!”
Another one promised to make my hair sheen
Another could be also used in my washing machine
“It looks that bad?” I asked of her
“You’re lucky because you can just lick your fur”
“Yes,” she replied, “I can lick myself pretty and clean
Just like I was licking a cone of ice cream.”
So off to the shower we did go
Me, Basura and her shampoo in tow
We lather and rinsed and then lather again
She put special conditioner on my split ends
“Now go look in the mirror and what do you see?”
That crazy cat thinks she’s the boss of me
But as I looked, what I saw made me feel refreshed
And Basura said, “Now let’s talk about your breath.”
