The Music Note Tree is a friend of mine
It helps me play music and keep good time
The notes tell me how long they want to play
Each note has a value and here’s what they say.
The Whole Note says “It’s 4 beats for me”
The Whole Note is King of the Music Note Tree
Play me once, and then hold for 4
It might help, if you tap your foot on the floor.
Take the Whole Note and add a stem
Here’s the Half Note, your new best friend
Play me once, and then hold for 2
Then play me again; it’s fun to do.
Then color in the circle of the Half Note for fun
And we have a Quarter Note, for everyone
Each note gets a beat, 1, 2, 3, 4.
When we play the Quarter Note, life’s never a bore.
You can clap along with a Metronome
When you have one, you’re never alone
Practice and play music everyday
To keep Mr. Boredom and Miss Lazy away.
