My Cat And Her Cup Hat ~ a short poem by Katrina Curtiss 8/6/2020

Basura cat found a new hat,
While upon my desk she sat
She ignored what I had to say
And wore my cup on her head the rest of the day.

When she meowed it echoed real loud
I said she looked silly, she said she felt proud.

As she ran blindly though out our home
She called out, “Hey are you there, am I all alone?”

I silently snickered at such a silly scene
Then she said, “I can hear you, you’re being so mean!”

Well what is a person suppose to do
When there’s a cup headed cat running all around you?
When suddenly they find themselves in a fuss
When most of the times, cats ignore us so much.

So I took off the cup and her head was all wet
She was as wet as a fish just caught in a net
I dried her all of, she thanked me for being a friend
And put that stupid cup back on her head again.

Today’s Musing” One man’s cup is another cat’s hat” ~ Quote by Basura, owner of me. #girlwithguitar
