The Silence Between The Gifts ~ Katrina Curtiss ~ Dec. 25, 2020 ~ 4:35am/39 degrees.

Sitting in silence, this early Christmas morning with Basura Cat sleeping upon my lap. I find myself wondering if all pet owners sit in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time so they don’t wake them up. It’s an odd Christmas this year, no tree, no turkey, no gatherings due to the Pandemic. Strange, kinda lonely if one allows, best not to.
It’s a perspective game this year, glass half full, thankful to have a glass, any glass.
Lots of silence, lots of time to gather what matters and and let go of what doesn’t.

The Silence Between The Gifts ~ Katrina Curtiss

The silence between the gifts is a gift within itself.
Shared with Mistletoe, tinsel and the Elf upon the shelf.
It’s the surprise of the showing, the happiness of knowing,
That Magic is in the air.

The smells of the dinner to come,
Shared with others, or shared by just one.
It’s a wondrous thing, the memories it brings,
That Magic is in the air.

The calls, texts and random hellos’
From friends and family we know.
Like a hug and kiss from those that we miss,
That Magic is in the air.

As the sun rises this Christmas Day,
From our hearts, we just want to say.
Take a moment and breathe, may we all believe,
That Magic is in the air.

Merry Christmas, may the magic of the day find you happy, healthy and wise.

Much Love Always, #girlwithguitar and Basura Cat
