My Tool Box ~ by Katrina Curtiss ~ 9.30.21

Years in therapy, have transformed me
Into the person I thought I wanted to be
Hours and dollars to find my way
If in the game of life, I want to play.

So when others toss their words at me
I have the tools that sent me free
My boundaries are no longer written in sand
I stand up for who and what I am.

It’s taken a lifetime to find my way
When I stand before God, I hope to say
I’ve learned the lessons, the price I’ve paid
To let go of wants and needs along the way.

Life can be so hard, one step taken at a time
Hoping that it is the answer one will find
Illusion, delusion, recluse and divide
The biggest problem is ones’ pride.
