Hello My Dear ~ by Katrina Curtiss 1.21.2022

“Hello my Darling, Hello my Dear”
Sounds of a greeting I no longer hear
Replaying messages in my phone, when the hour is late
Minutes rushed, gathering us both into this tragic fate

The silence you have left, is a crushing sound
As I gaze into your face, a stranger now is found
Another loss has come too soon, now a missing piece
Holding on, letting go, praying for your release.

Two wayward souls, a wandering along life’s crooked path
The angels hugged us when we cried, danced when we both laughed
As all good things must end, may sunshine light your way
Prayers for those who leave and for those of us who stay.
