Early this morning, when I opened Facebook
Basura jumped on my lap, she wanted to look
She said, “You’ve got over 2 thousand friends on here
Are they really your friends, people that you hold dear?”
“No” I replied, “They send me requests
I think people are lonely and doing their best
There are people from all over the land
From Egypt, Australia and even Pakistan”
“Some are from the left, some from the right
They send me requests both day and both night
Political posts are the first to be blocked
Trump Supporters are a frightening lot!”
“You have to be careful, research what you read
Some people post lies; they’re a terrorist breed
It just takes a small percent to cause a descent
Into chaos, into fear, and panic of our Government”
My cat laughed at a funny post,
“I like these a lot, I like them the most!”
Then she “unfriended” one, and “unfollowed” that
My Facebook has been taken over by my cat
