An Old Irish Saying ~ (5 Dayz And Counting) ~ Katrina Curtiss 10/29/2020

There was a time that I looked at the President of The United States with revere and awe.

There was a time that I looked at the President of The United States as a role model for the generations to come.

There was a time that I looked at the President of The United States as the Father of our country.

There was a time that I proudly said, “I’m an American.”

There was a time that I felt safe, that there was law and order in my land.

There was a time that I loyally watched the President of The United States when he was on television, believing what he said was truth.

There was a time that I would never have considered leaving my country to live somewhere else where kindness matters more that cash.

Friends have become strangers during this election, emotions run deep and fierce.
Why?
Why are we so divided?

It’s because he’s dangerous, dishonest, uncouth, uneducated, crude, rude, and obnoxious. And it’s hard for those of us who see it, to understand those who condone and excuse it.

Where is he leading and what is he teaching the next generation?

Our vote sets the example of our vision for the America to come.

An old Irish saying comes to mind when I think of him. “If he was on fire, I wouldn’t give him the steam of my piss.”
