My Cat is Lonely ~ by Katrina Curtiss 1/21/2021

Basura Cat has gotten quite stir crazy,
Being inside all of the time, has made her so lazy.
No trips to the store, no parties anymore,
She lays all about; she’s taken to snore.

“Help me,” I say as I cleaned the house,
But now she won’t even chase a slow mouse.
Her fur is undone; she is simply no fun,
She now gives a raspberry to everyone.

“It’s been almost a year,” she complained,
“Will the world ever be the same again?”
“I cover my tip, stay 6 feet apart,
I feel such loneliness deep in my heart.”

“Things will get better,” I whispered into her ear
“Let’s be of good heart, be of good cheer.”
Together we started to sing a Joni Mitchell song
“You don’t know what you’ve got, ‘til it’s gone.”

Today’s Musing: “Today is Backwards Day, I’m off to take a Pan” ~ quote by Basura, owner of me. #girlwithguitar
